There are several changes taking place this year:
- All the food will be provided by the church.
- Two serving lines will be in place to help serve you in a timely manner
- No tickets are necessary
Volunteers are needed for setup and clean up on Sunday, November 23. Please contact Allison in the church office or Ione Adolf, if you are willing to help!
If you would like a Thanksgiving meal delivered, please call the church office, 503-363-9273.
is an ecumenical event where you take a stroll through the Salem Golf Course at night with the stars shining bright. Come hear scripture, a message and even see a living Nativity put together by the youth of our church! This walk takes place on Sunday, November 30, at 5:00 pm.
Come bundled with your family and lantern for a very spiritual experience.
Rehearsals for the upcoming Christmas play "Twas the Day after Christmas" are
beginning. It is really going to be a fun and exciting time. Christine Sinibaldi, Billy Strehlow and Judy Dyer are working together on all kinds of music. Practices will be at the WOW on Wednesdays and during part of the Sunday School hour. SO, start coming so you can have a part.
The play will be on Sunday, December 14, at 5:30 pm, followed by a Birthday Party for Baby Jesus. Call Judy Dyer or Laurie Dyer at church if you have any questions.

Disciples Affirm:
- Jesus Christ is the son of the Living God,
- All persons are God's children
Beliefs and practices usually associated with Disciples include:
- Open Communion. The Lord's Supper, or Communion is celebrated in weekly worship. It is open to all who believe in Jesus Christ.
- Freedom of belief. Disciples are called together around one essential of faith: belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Persons are free to follow their consciences guided by the Bible, the Holy Spirit study and prayer, and are expected to extend that freedom to others.
- Baptism by immersion. In baptism the old self-centered life is set aside, and a new life of trust in God begins. Although Disciples practice baptism by immersion, other baptism traditions are honored.
- Belief in the oneness of the church. All Christians are called to be one in Christ and to seek opportunities for common witness and service.
- The ministry of believers. Both ministers and lay persons lead in worship, service and spiritual growth.
